JEREMIE (Joint European Resources for Micro to Medium Enterprises) is the EU initiative aimed at development of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the EU using the 2007 – 2013 EU Structural Funds and national resources to finance SMEs in a flexible and innovative way. In Lithuania, JEREMIE is financed from the EU Structural Funds under 2007-2013 Economic Growth Operational Programme of Lithuania. The initiative is administered and JEREMIE Holding Fund is managed by European Investment Fund (EIF), a specialised EU institution acting as fund of funds which provides financing to SMEs via financial intermediaries in a form of venture capital and guarantees.
